A few years ago, I had the opportunity to design a comprehensive series of product labels for Zippy, a brand specializing in traditional food and health beverage offerings.

This project involved crafting tailored labels for a wide array of local products, including Aggala Flour (අග්ගලා පිටි), Karapincha Drink (කරපිංචා පානය), Kurakkan Porridge (කුරක්කන් කැඳ), Ginger & Coriander Health Drink (ඉඟුරු කොත්තමල්ලි පානය), and Dried Bitter Gourd (වියලි කරවිල), among others.

Blending Natural Aesthetics with Shelf Appeal

Designing for traditional and healthy food products required a strong visual balance between authentic local elements and modern retail appeal. I used warm, organic color palettes, clear product-specific iconography, and structured typography to highlight the natural health benefits while ensuring every item stood out with a unified brand presence.
